IFLA formed a group to study the “functional requirements for bibliographic records” (FRBR), which was eventually consolidated with several other IFLA models to form the Library Reference Model (LRM).
FRBR has been put into practice at 100+ BiblioCommons libraries across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
